Sweet P's at the Tavern is a family owned and operated business. Mike Martin, Tyler Buice, Scott Buice, and Paula Buice are the co-owners of this hidden gem that provides southern comfort food - just like your grandmama’s!
The business started operation at the Tavern in Trion in 2011. The origination of Sweet P’s started with the idea of offering southern, home cooked meals like our grandmas and offered in a family dining environment. This is observable if you drop in on a Sunday for the Sunday buffet! Families are enjoying a variety of entrees and vegetables just like served at your grandma’s table!
Owner Paula Buice fondly remembers Sunday lunch at her MawMaws and wanted to offer this same great food and family comradery. Many dishes and desserts provided are family recipes and bring much delight to the owners to watch others enjoy! Of course, not only does one enjoy the taste of home cooking when visiting sweet p’s, they also enjoy the historical ambience of the Tavern. The beauty of the building and small town is an inviting venue for weddings and special occasions.
